captain hits the island Sit near Sibenik, Croatia. |
The Jadrolinija‘s ferry Marco Polo, Croatia's
biggest ferry ship, 128 meters long which weights
over 2000 tons crashed into the small island Sit,
located between Sibenik and Zadar. 61 crew members
and 45 passengers were onboard when the accident
happened. "Marco Polo" operates on a regular
ferry line Rijeka - Split - Dubrovnik - Bari (Italy).
No one on board were hurt in the incident, the ship
was in good technical condition and there has been
speculation the accident was down to human error... |
